When Thelma Rynes first showed me her drawing, I reacted very positively, which surprised me. I didn't expect to see something that would affect me in such a visceral way.
I was immediately drawn to the simplicity of the design and the fact that the word “love” was apparent yet subtle enough that not everyone might recognize it at first glance. After talking with Thelma and hearing the story of how it came to her, I began to realize that there might be an important and powerful message here. (Thelma spoke eloquently and often of Christ's love for man.) John Strobel |
