The Cross and Love
|
I was sitting across the table from Joe [friend] this morning and he was wearing his Love Cross. After hearing more about it - and then thinking about it today - I realized that it reveals - in a most striking way - the paradoxical truth that the more one focuses on the cross - the more one can see God's love!

Catholic churces always start a debate within me
|
At this point of time, I, a Roman Catholic by birth, am troubled. Idols in Catholic churces always start a debate within me. And I convice myself idols mean loving anything worldly that hurts when one loses it - not idols of Jesus, Mary, Joseph and saints. Now when I see this new love cross i feel happy about seeing the Christian truth with clarity and single mindedness. But then, do we need varieties of cross? - Ignatius Shaju Boustin

I recognized the word owe
|
The first thing I noticed was the word love, but then I recognized the word owe. The "L" when bisecting the "v" reminds me of a "w". I tend to think about how much I owe God because of the choice of Jesus to die on our cross. Despite myself, I'm given the freedom of choice. How much love must God embody, how much must God hope, that a little love comes back His way. - Robert Wray

Wearing my faith
|
I just got my Love Cross today and am looking forward to the devine appointments that God places in my path. I love the part of the story where Ms. Thelma told you that the cross must in all ways glorify the Lord. So many times I find myself wearing Christian apparel to define to others who I am instead of showing them the Gospel through me. I pray that this love cross will serve as a reminder to me that we are called above all else to love and that it isn't about us at all! It's all about Him! To God be the Glory for ever and ever!
- Paul Thomas

It is a simple and joyful message
|
Having been raised a Catholic and grown up attending parochial schools, the crucifix has long been a fixture in my home. The first time I saw the Love Cross design I felt a flash of insight, relief and excitement.

When I first saw the love cross I thought the design was too simple and abstract to really catch on.

Love is a powerful message

When Thelma Rynes first showed me her drawing, I reacted very positively, which surprised me. I didn't expect to see something that would affect me in such a visceral way.
